Her Passion and Commitment

Ava De Guzman is committed and passionate about serving the aging population community. The senior community has always been close to her heart. Caregiving was her first job experience at a young age soon after the loss of her own beloved grandmother who had been a big part of her life growing up. She is the founder and facilitator of ADG’s Non-Profit Family Caregivers Support Program. Ava De Guzman continues to serve as CEO of ADG Referral Services Inc. since 2002. She is also the founder of Senior Services and Beyond, Inc. since 2012. In addition, she served a 2-year term as President of Empowering Business Women and is active in various business women networking organizations.

Ava De Guzman is the Founding Director of Bridge of Hope – World, a non-profit 501 c (3) organization helping single mothers, abused women, and orphans in poor communities worldwide.  She firmly believes that people are put on earth for one purpose… to serve. She is a true caregiver at heart.

Her Greatest Achievement and Success

Ava De Guzman’s greatest achievement comes from being a single mother raising two wonderful daughters. Because she views faith and God’s call as an integral part of her own life’s journey as a single mother, God has impressed in her heart to become a “bridge of hope” to the hopeless and helpless single mothers and abused women in the poorest communities worldwide. She formed a Non-Profit organization, Bridge of Hope – World, with a vision to lead impoverished single mothers, abused women, and orphans worldwide into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through supplication, empowerment, and restoration. She is an active member of her local Church community and serves in various caring ministries.

“Many of us have a sense to go in one direction or another based on our life’s experiences and God-given talents. This is God’s calling. As a single mother and an entrepreneur, I want to be able to use my gifts, talents, and resources to empower the helpless and improve the plight of impoverished women worldwide.” ~Ava De Guzman

Below is her personal favorite principle in leadership and service:

Excelling at What You Do

1. People Who Excel Work with Enthusiasm: Regardless of whatever the job is, big or small, give it your best. Great performers give their best effort, no matter the size of the audience. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.”

2. People Who Excel Sharpen their Skills: They never stop developing, growing, learning, and improving. “If your ax is dull and you don’t sharpen it, you have to work harder to use it. It is smarter to plan ahead.”

3. People Who Excel Keep their Word: They are reliable. They can be counted on to do what they say they’ll do. So they excel because people of integrity are rare in our society.

4. People Who Excel Maintain a Positive Attitude: Even under pressure, change, or unrealistic demands, they don’t allow themselves to become negative.

5. People Who Excel Do More than is Expected: This is a secret that every successful person has discovered. You’ll never excel by only doing what is required.
